British singer Adele was "speechless" after finding out that she had received six Grammy Award nominations.
The 23 year-old was revealed as one to watch at the ceremony when the shortlist was unveiled, receiving nominations in categories including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
Adele, who was recently forced to cancel several concerts to undergo surgery on her vocal cords, took to her blog to reveal she was "lost for words" at the Grammy recognition.
She wrote: "Just home from New York, that's my main excuse for not posting a message sooner, but I'm also completely and utterly lost for words. A couple of days after finally being able to talk again I'm pretty speechless. Thank you so much to the academy for nominating this record for 6 Grammys!!!
"This has been the best year as it is but to end 2011 with this incredible achievement and honour is beyond anything I can express. Thank you to every single person who has taken a shining to this record, for making it have such an impact, this record has taken on a life of its own thanks to you. I made the record and you've made it what's its become."
Singer Cheryl Cole's record producer can't understand why her ex-husband Ashley Cole would ever cheat on the Geordie beauty.
Patrizio Pigliapoco said: "I can't believe what happened with that soccer player. Who was that guy? How could a man ever cheat on this woman? That's just crazy."
Pigliapoco, who is masterminding her pop comeback in Los Angeles, also revealed how he fell for Cheryl when she taught him British swear words.
According to British newspaper The Sun, the 21 year-old said: "She's really funny. She was talking about w*****s and we didn't know what it meant. She was laughing. The funniest thing was trying to get her to go into detail, because she was trying to be ladylike. Then we got it!"
He admitted that Cheryl is "gorgeous" and would love to date her but doubts that she would agree to that.
Pigliapoco added: "When I met her I thought, 'Oh my God, she's gorgeous!' I think she's great. She's got swag, that's the word here. I wish I could ask her out on a date, but she'd tell me no. She's out of my league."
One Direction star Niall Horan is reportedly dating X Factor finalist Amelia Lily.
Horan, 18, is said to have fallen for Lily, 17, when they met backstage after his group performed on the UK version of the singing competition.
A source told British newspaper the Daily Mirror: "Niall and Amelia met backstage after One Direction performed on the show.
"Although Harry spent most time with her, it was Niall whose eye she caught. Niall can be pretty shy but he made his feelings clear.
"After swapping numbers, they were texting all week and met up on a secret date in London, where they kissed for the first time."
Former rugby star Thom Evans will not be getting married to girlfriend Kelly Brook any time soon.
Thom, who has been dating the 32 year-old for a year, says he isn't planning on asking her to marry him at the moment - and has even admitted his mum, Sally, disapproves of the idea.
The 26 year-old said: "My mother says I have still got plenty of time to settle down and has advised me not to get married yet."
According to British newspaper the Daily Mail, he added: "The thing is Kelly is six years older than me. I don't mind her being older.
"It's not a bad idea to have an older woman, because, as my mother says, women live a lot longer than men, so it makes sense.
"So contrary to popular belief, we are not getting engaged or married."
Stacey Solomon has got engaged to long-term boyfriend Aaron Barnham.
The 22 year-old, who is pregnant with their second child, is said to have burst into tears and accepted on the spot when Barnham proposed in New York's Central Park.
A source told British newspaper the Daily Mirror: "He blew her away. He hired a horse-drawn carriage and got down on bended knee."
The former X Factor star later tweeted: "I can't believe he's finally asked me..."
