Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has revealed that she was so “overwhelmed” at winning Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards that she “lost the ability” to speak.
The 37-year-old was over the moon when she won the prize at last week's ceremony, but admitted that she found it difficult to articulate herself after hearing the good news.
"I have to say I was not expecting to win and I was quite overwhelmed,” she told Hello! magazine.
"I've never felt my heart beating so fast. I lost the ability to think or speak – my vocabulary just went out the window. It means so much to me.
"I had the most phenomenal team of people and I was up there on behalf of all of us and I really didn't want to forget anyone. My mind was completely blank."
The mum-of-four also revealed that her children inspire her “every day”, and that her husband David is her “rock”.

Amy Winehouse's father has said that he found hearing his late daughter sing on her new album “very difficult”.
During an appearance on UK TV show Daybreak, the singer’s dad Mitch Winehouse revealed that he and his ex-wife Janis had to listen to their daughter’s posthumous LP, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, before it could be released.
"The estate, which I'm a part of – my ex-wife and I – we could decide to put it out or not put it out, and when we went to listen to the album it was a very difficult time for us,” he explained.
"It was very emotional. But we just had to sit through it and after the first couple of songs we sort of calmed down a little bit.
He added: "Our son was there as well and we all had to be in agreement that the album was of the same quality or better, in fact, than Frank and Back To Black, and we were more than pleasantly surprised."
The album, which is made up of original songs and some cover versions, was put together and co-produced by Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson.
