Daniel Radcliffe doesn't act when playing Harry Potter.
The 19-year-old British actor says his abilities were undeveloped when he first took on the role of the boy wizard in 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' and he felt fans wouldn't like it if he changed his approach in later movies.
He said: "When I started out at the age of 10 or 11 I was essentially saying the lines as I myself would say them. When I became aware that that's what I was doing, at 13 or 14, it didn't make sense to change, because it would suddenly be a dramatic shift in the character."
Daniel admits he is very much like his famous character - created in the best-selling children's book series by J. K. Rowling - and even his mother has noticed the similarities.
He added to Parade magazine: "When she read the sixth book she noticed that Harry argues in the kind of irritating, pedantic way that I argue. She thought Harry and I were getting closer and closer together at that point."

Peter Andre has declared war on estranged wife Katie Price.
The 'Mysterious Girl' singer is said to be furious with the "vicious slurs" the glamour model has been making against him and has called an urgent meeting with advisers and friends to decide his next move.
A source said: "He is fuming about what's been said. He's going to meet his people to see what can be done. As far as he's concerned, it's a new low, getting pals to take sides and make vicious slurs."
Katie - also known as Jordan - has blamed the break-up of their three-year marriage on Peter and now her friends are starting to publicly attack him.
Former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton - who was Katie's bridesmaid at their 2005 wedding - defended her pal, saying she had been unfairly treated by the media.
She said: "It makes me furious when I see the stick Kate is getting. She is made out to be the baddie.
"The simple fact is that he left Kate. She is a strong woman though and she refuses to play the victim."
Peter - who raises three children with Katie, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii - wants to defend himself but doesn't want to behave in the way Katie has.
A source said: "Kate can do what she wants. Peter won't get involved in tit-for-tat accusations. He knows how it looks to the public. He's happy for Kate to continue self-destructing."

Daniel Merriweather was in shock when he met Jay-Z.
The 'Change' singer is now a friend of the '99 Problems' rapper but admits he was lost for words when the pair were first introduced.
He said: "When I first met him, he almost seemed mythical - like, 'Oh my God, it's Jay-Z!' That's because he symbolises that whole era of hip-hop. And he's still great - there's always an extra level of awareness in whatever he does.
"I do see him quite a lot socially because he's a friend of a friend, but I'm a genuine fan. He's great to hang out with, he's very controlled, you can tell there are always cogs turning in his mind, and he never has his guard down completely."
Daniel insists Jay-Z is still ahead of his hip-hop chart rivals because so many music fans can relate to him.
He added to Britain's Guardian newspaper: "When he released 'Reasonable Doubt' in 1996, he summed up a lot of ideas that young people had, and put them all on one album. Now you listen to it, no matter what walk of life you're from, you can relate to it.
"As far as the mogul mentality goes, he's got it down pretty well, and he's managed to balance it out with an artistry someone like P.Diddy struggles to achieve - there have been no lapses in creativity from Jay-Z."

Mischa Barton prefers kissing girls.
The former 'O.C' actress said while she's open to performing kissing scenes, she prefers them to be between her and another girl, because it is less "tense" than kissing a man.
She said: "It's so much easier to kiss a girl. You're so much more relaxed filming than you are doing a guy and girl scene. You can relax and have a laugh about it, whereas if it's a man you have to kiss, the whole thing's a bit tense."
She added she finds it strange she keeps getting picked for roles that include lesbian scenes.
Mischa added: "I don't know why that keeps happening to me, but my scripts have a lot of girl-on-girl kissing. But if it's part of my character, that doesn't really annoy me.
"I did a film about Tatu, the Russian girl band, and that was interesting. This whole corrupt Russian music industry formed this fake lesbian band. It's an odd story but a fascinating one."
The British-born star also said while she's happy kissing on camera, she'd never pose fully nude in a magazine.
She said: "I took my top off for Cosmopolitan magazine, but I'd never do a fully nude shoot – that's just not me. I was shot from the chest up and everyone speaks about it like I was naked. I really wasn't."

Michael Jackson's manager has revealed the heartbreak of telling the star's children of his death.
Frank DiLeo said speaking to sons Prince Michael, 12, and Prince Michael II, seven, and daughter Paris, 11, after the pop star's passing on Thursday (25.06.09) was the "most painful moment" of his life.
DiLeo spoke with the three children and Jackson's mother, Katherine, at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, where Jackson was pronounced dead after ingesting a lethal mix of prescription drugs.
He said how he told them: "I'm sorry children, your father has passed away."
He added that Paris screamed: " 'No, no, Daddy. No, no!'"
DiLeo added: "It was the single most painful moment of my life. I cannot tell you how difficult it was. Those children just fell to pieces. The emotions poured forth.
"Michael's mother Katherine was with them. They were waiting there together for news. I think she feared the worst, but the children had no idea their whole world had ended.
"Whatever anyone thought of Michael, he was loved by those children, truly loved.
There is expected to be a custody battle for the children, with Katherine, 79, the children's nanny, Grace Rwaramba and biological mother of the eldest two children, Debbie Rowe all likely to seek for custody. The children are presently in the care of Katherine.
Yesterday (27.06.09) Grace – who worked for Jackson for 17 years – broke her silence for the first time to tell of her life working for the pop star.
She claimed she regularly had to pump the pop legend's stomach to prevent him from fatally overdosing and said he wasn't capable of looking after himself properly, let alone his children.
Although she was fired by Jackson two months ago, Grace said this was a regular occurrence and that she had been begged many times to return to the children.
She told interviewer Daphne Barak: "These poor babies. I was getting phone calls that they were being neglected. Nobody was cleaning the rooms because Michael didn't pay the housekeeper.
"I was getting calls telling me Michael was in such a bad shape. He wasn't clean. He hadn't shaved. He wasn't eating well. I used to do all this for him and they were trying to get me to go back."
She also said she hated masks the children were forced to wear to hide their faces in public, and purposefully tried to misplace them so they didn't have to wear them.
Grace added: "They didn't like them. It wasn't my idea. I hated it as well. So whenever I had a chance I misplaced the masks or 'forgot' to pack them.
"Michael always got angry. But what was most shocking to me is that the children don't even have a teacher. They can't play with other children and don't have a teacher to help them learn about the world."
