Sophie Ellis-Bextor has a stalker.
The 'Murder on the Dancefloor' singer has revealed one of the songs on her new album 'Another Love' is about the man who has been sending her "creepy" text messages in the middle of the night for years.
The 30-year-old star said: "One of the really dancey songs on the album is all about a stalker I had. He sends me texts now and then, sometimes late at night.
"They put the whole lyrics to one of my songs in a text which was pretty unnerving and quite annoying as well. So there's a song about that.
"I do also get phone calls with a load of drunk people laughing in the background and then they hang up. That's pretty annoying as well."
But Sophie - who has two children Sonny, five, and Kit, four months, with husband Richard Jones - would only change her phone number if the stalker started physically threatening her family.
She added to music website Popjustice.com: "I think if they knew where I lived and started making comments like, 'I saw you leave you're house at 9.59.' That would unnerve me.
"But really, all of the annoyance is a very small price to pay to be able to have a career in music. I don't feel too encumbered."

Katie Price hasn't taken antidepressants since splitting from Peter Andre.
The former glamour model - who raises three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and 23-month-old Princess Tiaamii with the 'Mysterious Girl' singer - is feeling happier following the break-up of her marriage last month.
Katie - who tied the knot with Peter in September 2005 - said: "I'm doing really well, focusing on the kids, my work, keeping fit and moving forward - and after four years I'm no longer taking my anti-depressants. I'm in a really good place."
Although Katie is feeling healthy, Peter has lost over 14lbs since the breakdown of the relationship.
He said: "I am still reeling from everything that's happening in my personal life, but I have to focus and stay really strong for the children.
"My appetite is pretty small at the moment and I still weigh 14lbs less than I did a month ago. But I'm trying my very best to eat well and to exercise regularly."
Katie, who is also known as Jordan, also revealed negative stories surrounding the split have made her realise who she can trust.
She explained to Britain's OK! magazine: "Through everything that's happened I know who my real friends are. I'd like to thank everyone for their support and until the truth comes out, no one should judge - and it will come out eventually."

Leona Lewis is set to buy a £1 million country home.
The 'Bleeding Love' singer - who has been living in Los Angeles while she records her new album - is in negotiations to purchase a converted barn in a village in Hertfordshire, east England.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Leona can't wait to return to the UK full-time and is keen to buy herself a nice country home rather than purchase anywhere in town.
"She's spotted a converted barn, which she loves. It would be ideal as it's still close enough for her to commute into London for work and to see her family, yet it's private enough for her to have some time to herself.
"She wants to be able to enjoy some time away from the spotlight and do normal things like go to the shops for a pint of milk."
The 24-year-old singer bought a £120,000 flat in Hackney, east London, with her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa last year, but hasn't been able to spend any time there in the past few months.
She was reportedly considering moving to the US for good, but changed her mind when homesickness kicked in.
Leona explained: "I've missed 'EastEnders', my family and being able to walk to the shops."
'The X Factor' winner also hinted she is planning to settle down with Lou, despite rumours they are on the verge of splitting.
She said: "Yes, marriage could be on the cards soon, we'll have to wait and see."
Leona's second album is due for release in November.

Kate Moss insists on keeping 100 cigarettes nearby at all times.
The supermodel - who is dating The Kills rocker Jamie Hince - loves smoking so much she reportedly makes her personal assistant leave a packet of her favourite Marlboro Lights on every table in her home before she goes to bed.
A source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Kate has five coffee tables spread between her living room, kitchen, office and bedroom so that's a lot of cigarettes.
"She also has a special tennis ball with holes for cigarettes to stick out from so visitors can relax with a smoke."
The party-loving star also keeps her fridge stocked with at least two bottles of champagne and two bottles of vodka to ensure her guests have a good time.
However, friends are worried 35-year-old Kate's hard partying lifestyle is beginning to take its toll.
The source added: "The cigarettes are starting to show on Kate's face. She is apparently chain smoking more than ever now and gets through up to two packs a day."
Kate's most recent wild night at her London home was a cocktail making and drinking evening with 'Not Fair' singer Lily Allen.
A source said: "Kate and Lily each made up various cocktails and had a competition to see how many they could drink."
Kate was crowned the winner at around 4am and is awaiting a mystery prize from the 23-year-old singer.

Peter Andre has bought his daughter a TV for her second birthday.
The singer - who recently separated from wife Katie Price - wants Princess Tiaamii to feel at home in his new mansion, so has splashed out on the luxury items.
He said: "It's Princess' second birthday at the end of the month, so I will be throwing her a party at my new house. I've already bought her a pink TV and DVD player to go in her bedroom. I think she will love it."
The 'Mysterious Girl' star also recently helped son Junior celebrate his birthday and indulged the youngster's passion for cars when choosing gifts.
He added to Britain's New! magazine: "It was Junior's fourth birthday last Saturday, but because I was away I threw him a private party before I left. We had a bouncy castle and cakes and, of course, he had lots of presents. Junior is into racing cars at the moment, so I got him some toy cars and a tricycle. He looks so cute riding around with on it."
Meanwhile, Katie's friend Michelle Heaton has revealed the 31-year-old ex-glamour model is still "heartbroken" and pining for Peter.
The former Liberty X singer said: "Katie is coping well. She's totally in love with Pete and can't believe it's come to this."
