Dannii Minogue

(BANG) -

Dannii Minogue has "mellowed" since becoming a mother.

The singer-and-TV talent show judge gave birth to Ethan - her first child with partner Chris Smith - July and her sister Kylie Minogue is astonished by how much her sibling has changed with parenthood.

Kylie said: "Having a baby has changed her. She's mellowed and gone into a zone that's very deep and I've never seen her like that before.

"She's still hard-nosed and determined, but there's something that's changed in her that's really beautiful to see."

Kylie - who is in a relationship with Spanish model Andres Velencoso - is unsure if she is able to have children naturally after undergoing treatment for breast cancer in 2005 and admits she feels "wistful" when she spends time with Ethan, though she loves being an aunt.

She added to Britain's Glamour magazine: "It's lovely to see Ethan. I look at him wistfully. He's a beautiful baby. I've got my auntie stripes on and I'm ready to go."

Robert Pattinson

(BANG) -

Robert Pattinson once dreamed of being a rapper.

The British actor - who is best known for portraying vampire Edward Cullen in 'The Twilight Saga' - was "obsessed" with Eminem as a teenager and made recordings of himself performing his own composition.

He said: "You want a secret? OK, how about this - I've got a whole collection of tapes of me rapping from when I was 13! I wanted to be a rapper so there are hundreds and hundreds of tapes. They're very amusing!

"I was obsessed with Eminem when I was younger. When he first came out I was about 12 and fanatical about his 'Slim Shady' CD. I think he's a genius."

The 24-year-old star even had his own "crew" but admits his lyrics were less-than-authentic.

He explained to Top of the Pops magazine: "Most of my rhymes were stolen off other people anyway. They were all like, 'I was raised on these streets.', which was a complete farce because I was actually raised in quite a nice area of London called Barnes. Not very ghetto at all!

"I was obsessed with it all, though. I even had my own little crew - we called ourselves Big Tub and the Tappy Cats."

Robert has previously recorded tracks for the 'Twilight' soundtracks but insists he has no plans to move into music full time.

He said: "I'm a bit of an attention seeker - I love being on stage. But the thought of performing music on stage terrifies me. I'm not scared of acting though."

However, if the chance came to perform with rapper Eminem, Robert would jump at the chance.

He said: "I'd love to rap with Eminem! That would be really amazing."

Carey Mulligan

(BANG) -

Carey Mulligan has never felt sexy.

The 24-year-old actress - who recently split from her 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' co-star Shia LaBeouf - hates wearing skimpy clothes and thinks she is too sensible to be considered a sex symbol.

She said: "I've never felt like a sexy person. I've always felt like a sensible person. I've always felt absurd wearing anything revealing."

Talking of the Hollywood trend to look a certain way, the British star added that she has never felt bad about her looks - although she won't wear short skirts because she doesn't like her legs.

She told Britain's Elle magazine: "I've always felt different here. I remember going up for auditions, walking into rooms of girls in denim minis, with cut off tank tops, tanned legs, long hair and manicures, thinking, 'Erm.' But it never made me feel bad. I've never felt pressure to look like that."

Instead of worrying about her wardrobe, Carey is more interested in being a good actress who is respected for her talent.

She said: "I'm not trying to sell myself as a visual. I'm selling my willingness to play a part really well. If your body doesn't look normal, how can you convey normal people, how can you be relatable?"

Kylie Minogue

(BANG) -

Kylie Minogue makes jewellery for her boyfriend.

The 'All the Lovers' hitmaker crafted a necklace from string and a blue topaz for boyfriend Andres Velencoso last year but now he has lost the chain, she plans to continue making more for him to wear when she is not around.

She said: "I wanted him to have something jewellery-ish but not ostentatious. I had some string and I plaited it into a web into which I put the stone.

"The stone was tiny and I knew it would be lost in the string and that was the beauty of it.

"He wore it for a while and the stone got lost. So that's the jewellery I got him. Something precious and something from the kitchen cupboard, knowing he would lose it. And that was the most beautiful part.

"I will make him another one. And perhaps I will tie it a little bit more securely. And each time I make one, I'll tie it more securely."

Kylie - who lives in London with the model - also spoke of how much she enjoys spending time in Andres' native Spain, but she is currently too busy with her working commitments to take a holiday.

She told Britain's Glamour magazine: "I love to be in Spain. I eat well, I sleep well, I relax. But I don't have time to do any of that right now."

Helen Mirren

(BANG) -

Dame Helen Mirren thinks her looks are "bloody irrelevant".

The 65-year-old actress - who is often highlighted as one of the most beautiful Hollywood actresses - is a "bit cross" so much is made of her looks because it means women feel pressured into always appearing their best.

Asked how it makes her feel to be a beauty role model in her 60s, she said: "A bit cross, actually. We have to let go of this c**p. It creates even more pressure on women, and I certainly don't want to be a part of that. I'm not beautiful; I clean up nice.

"Why don't we talk about the fact, for example, that I just did 'Arthur', and the cinematographer was a woman, the film operator was a woman, the whole camera team were women? That's where we should be putting our attention. The fact that I look good at the age I am is bloody irrelevant."

Despite being lauded as a beautiful star, the British Oscar-winner reveals her background did not indicate she would end up an actress.

She told the Hollywood Reporter: "My father was born in Russia and came to England when he was two years old. So in a sense, I grew up the daughter of an immigrant. My parents had a love of the arts, but they came from a lower-income background. My father was a taxicab driver in my early days.

"Around about 13 or 14, I decided that I wanted to be an actress. I knew I wanted to engage in the world of the imagination, but it was not economically feasible for me to study acting, so I went to a teachers' training college."
