Megan Fox

(BANG) -

Megan Fox needs to grow up, says her 'Transformers' director.

The 23-year-old actress recently slammed Michael Bay for focusing more on special effects than acting in the 2007 blockbuster but Michael says her comments are "ridiculous" and should be ignored.

Michael - who recast Megan in this summer's sequel 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' - said: "Well, that's Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.

"You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'OK Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.' "

Michael thinks Megan should also show more gratitude towards him for helping to launch her movie career.

He added to Us Weekly magazine: "Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in 'Armageddon'. Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' - and then he exploded.

Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from 'Bad Boys'.

"Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in 'Transformers'. I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

Talking about her role in 'Transformers' Megan previously said: "I mean, I can't s**t on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a*s. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."

Michael Jackson

(BANG) -

Michael Jackson's memorial will be held at Los Angeles' Staples Center arena on Tuesday (07.07.09).

Up to one million fans are expected to attend the star-studded service, with a further 750 million watching on TV.

The singer's family has confirmed the ceremony will feature performances and tributes from a range of stars, reportedly including former Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor.

Former Miss Indiana Kellee Patterson and singer Deniece Williams, both from Michael's home town Gary, Indiana, have also agreed to perform.

The Jackson family is reportedly keen to make sure the service lives up to the spectacle the singer dreamed of.

The family's lawyer Brian Oxman confirmed: "It's going to be huge. Massive."

In 2002, Michael said: "My funeral is going to be the greatest show on earth. That's what I want. Fireworks and everything."

Nearly 20,000 people will be seated in the stadium, while giant screens will broadcast the send-off to fans who can't get in.

US President Barack Obama - who recently expressed his sadness at Michael's death - is believed to have been invited.

The service will start at 10am, and will reportedly last two hours.

Ironically, it will be held on the stage Michael spent his last evening alive as he rehearsed for his London residency.

Footage of the rehearsals - captured just 48 hours before the singer's death from a suspected cardiac arrest last week - was released on the internet last night (02.07.09).

In the clip, Michael looks thin but otherwise fit and healthy as he performs a medley including his 1995 hit 'They Don't Care About Us'.

Fans were outraged yesterday, when it emerged venue owners AEG Live were planning to charge $25 for tickets to the service.

The company has since backtracked and will now give away 11,000 tickets for free.

A spokeswoman for the company said: "Executives have been in back-to-back meetings all day over how things will work. They've just come out to see the reports everywhere. I can confirm that we will not be charging."

Michael's body is expected to be buried at Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills, where his grandmother was laid to rest in 1990.

Other celebrities interred there include Bette Davis, Lucille Ball, Liberace and David Carradine, who died in Thailand last month.

It is not known when the funeral will take place, but the singer is expected to be buried in a $25,000 gold-plated casket.

The custom-made coffin - which features a blue velvet interior and a hand-polished mirror finish - is the same type used to bury legendary singer James Brown in December 2006.

The Jackson family had been hoping to bury the singer at his beloved Neverland ranch, but they were unable to obtain the residential exemption necessary for a burial on private property.

David and Victoria Beckham

(BANG) -

David and Victoria Beckham have splashed out £50,000 on a luxury eco-spa break for their tenth wedding anniversary.

The soccer star and the former Spice Girl - who wed in a lavish ceremony in Ireland on July 4 1999 - were keen to mark the occasion in style so flew out to a romantic retreat in the exclusive Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.

A source said: "They may have been married for a decade but Victoria and David are like a pair of newlyweds when they get time alone. They both moved heaven and earth so they could be together for this anniversary."

The couple - who have left Victoria's parents in charge of their three sons, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, six, and four-year-old Cruz - landed in the Seychelles yesterday (02.07.09) and were whisked to their exclusive accommodation by helicopter.

Their island boasts pristine white sands and beach villas, with over 250 staff.

The source added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "To keep out any prying eyes, the stars will have a private plunge pool and thatched massage gazebo overlooking the sea. And a personal chef is on call to prepare meals around the clock."

The couple - who had initially been expected to celebrate the anniversary at Sir Richard Branson's exclusive Necker Island - are set to stay at the resort for 10 days.

Amy Winehouse

(BANG) -

Amy Winehouse has been banned from swimming amid fears she will drown.

The troubled singer's excessive drinking has caused concern for those close to her and now worried staff at the St Lucia resort where she is staying have warned her to stay away from the pool.

A source explained to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She is regularly drinking large quantities of wine and rum and no one in her condition should be going anywhere near water.

"There are concerns that one night she won't be able to get out of the water and something tragic will happen."

Management imposed the band on the 'Rehab' star after a series of near-misses for the singer.

The source added: "Staff have found Amy on a number of occasions collapsed on the grass by the pool after going for a swim."

Earlier this week, it was reported staff at the resort have had her villa fumigated because she keeps adopting stray dogs.

A source said: "Management initially turned a blind eye to what Amy was doing. But she's adopted about five or six dogs now. They're all strays without the proper vaccinations and they all have fleas.

"The management did not want the risk of any of the fleas infecting any of the other rooms, so they got a firm of fumigators in to blitz Amy's quarters and told her not to bring any more animals on site."

Dave Grohl

(BANG) -

Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and Led Zepplin's John Paul Jones are working on an album together.

The Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age frontmen have reportedly been joined in a Los Angeles recording studio by the rocker for an unnamed secret project, it has been claimed.

The trio are remaining tight-lipped on their plans but Josh's wife, Brody Dalle has indicated she has heard some of their material.

The Spinnerette singer said: "I'm not at liberty to talk about it but I think the project is pretty f**king amazing. Just beats and sounds like you've never heard before."

The collaboration has been expected for several years.

In 2005, 'Monkey Wrench' singer Dave spoke about the venture in an interview.

He said: "The next project that I'm trying to initiate involves me on drums, Josh Homme on guitar, and John Paul Jones playing bass. That's the next album. That wouldn't suck."
