Piers Morgan

(BANG) -

Piers Morgan will interview George Clooney and Ricky Gervais during the first week of his new US talk show.

The former 'America's Got Talent' judge will quiz the star pair on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' as well as radio shock-jock Howard Stern and former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during the initial batch of programmes.

It is already known that his guest on the opening night of the series on January 17 will be Oprah Winfrey.

Other guests confirmed for the following weeks include Rod Stewart, Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Massachusetts Governor and Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Kid Rock and Donald and Melania Trump.

'Piers Morgan Tonight' is replacing the legendary 'Larry King Live' show on CNN and as well as being screened in the US it can be seen on the CNN International channel from January 18.

The 45-year-old British journalist is reportedly being paid $8.4 million to front the series.

He revealed last week he was determined to get Oprah, 56, as his first guest, saying: "I wanted to start my new show with the ultimate bang and for that I needed the biggest star in the world but also somebody who was one of the most powerful people in the world. And that narrowed the list down, as far I as I was concerned, to one person."

Gwyneth Paltrow

(BANG) -

Gwyneth Paltrow is returning to 'Glee' to date Matthew Morrison.

The Oscar-winning actress appeared as a substitute teacher, Holly Holiday, who filled in for Will Schuester when he was off sick in a storyline which aired last year.

Holly will now come back to McKinnley High to date Will - who is portrayed by Matthew Morrison - and Gwyneth will be singing in the role again.

The show's creator Ryan Murphy said: "Gwyneth is coming back for two episodes. She's coming back specifically to date Will.

"Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry. She's coming back as a sex education teacher. "Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week, 'What are we gonna sing?' We're trying to do something fantastic. So she'll be (in episodes) 15 and 16. She comes back to film this month and she's with us for three and a half weeks, I think."

As well as Gwyneth's return, Ryan also revealed another episode will be based around a Lady Gaga song.

The writers based an entire show around the flamboyant pop star's tracks last season and it proved a huge hit with viewers.

In the spring Gaga's upcoming single 'Born This Way' will be used to soundtrack a storyline about school bully Dave Karofsky - who is played by Max Adler - who is a closet homosexual.

Ryan revealed to Entertainment Weekly magazine: "I love that song, it's an anthem. This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sort of want that character to have a happy ending. So I don't really know what that's going to be, but I do know we're going to do a whole episode that's about that song."

Kelly Osbourne

(BANG) -

Kelly Osbourne has admitted she has a new boyfriend.

The 26-year-old star - who split from model fiance Luke Worrall last July amid rumours he had cheated on her - is enjoying spending time with British musician Rob Damiani, 26, but wants to take their romance slowly.

Following speculation she had been dating Rob, Kelly wrote in her column for Closer magazine: "It's true, I'm having fun getting to know someone new. I met Rob over in the UK recently, and I want to take things slowly, so that means keeping some things private."

Though Kelly is enjoying her new romance, she is planning to keep conversation about him to a minimum following her recent rant at Luke on twitter, in which she branded him a "piece of s**t" and a "user".

She added: "Loads of people saw my twitter rant about my ex-boyfriend over

Christmas, and this is the last time you'll probably hear me talk about my relationship in the press - I've learned my lesson the hard way! I'm excited about this year - onwards and upwards!"

In her tirade against Luke last month, Kelly branded him the "worst thing" to happen to her.

She seethed: "Luke is the worst thing that ever happened to me I don't give a f*** what happens to him anymore. He used me for my money and a free ride. He is lucky I am not spilling the whole truth about what he did.

"Luke's the biggest piece of s**t. He has been trying to get back with me.

"I only came home for Christmas to see him. Meanwhile he has been f***ing 100s of girls behind my back. All he did was use me. All girls beware of Luke Worrall he is a using ****. (sic)"

However, Kelly is now said to be "inseparable" from Rob - who is in a band called Don Broco - since they met in a club in the UK over the festive season.

A source said: "She was standing against a wall not having fun and not really talking to anyone and out of no where a boy came up to her and started chatting her up. They were pretty inseparable from that point on.

"It's like the old Kelly is back. She's happy and glowing!"

Michael Douglas

(BANG) -

Michael Douglas is confident he has beaten his cancer.

The 'Wall Street' actor was diagnosed with a tumour in his throat six months ago but after intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, the 66-year-old star is sure he has overcome the potentially-fatal disease.

Speaking in an interview with Matt Lauer in an interview on NBC's 'Today' show, Michael said: "I feel good, relieved. The tumour is gone. But, you know, I have to check out on a monthly basis now to maintain.

"I think the odds are with the tumour gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer is that I've got it beat."

Michael - who says he will "take a couple of months of getting checked out" - also revealed he is starting to regain the weight he lost during his illness.

He said: "I lost about 32 lbs. And I've put about 12 back. But, I mean, I got another 20, 25 to go."

Michael - who has two children, Dylan, 10, and seven-year-old Carys, with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, and grown-up son Cameron from his first marriage - says the illness has made him appreciate his family much more.

He said: "All of a sudden the affection from my family, from my friends, and from my fans hit me at a much deeper level than I would have ever imagined before. And it gave me a really new appreciation of just how valuable, how precious good friends are and family."

"There's a much deeper feeling. And I've talked to other cancer survivors about this, that - that happens, that you just really, really appreciate what's important in life."

Johnny Depp

(BANG) -

Johnny Depp wants to "run away" from modern life.

The 'Tourist' actor - who has children Lily-Rose, 11, and eight-year old Jack with long-term partner Vanessa Paradis - believes developments in technology and a shift in choices of entertainment have lead to people losing their sense of self.

He explained: "Sometimes I'd like to run away screaming from our technology-obsessed world, the invasive media, the madness of reality TV.

"We've lost touch with the simple things of life. We're losing our individuality."

Johnny, 47, lives in the south of France with his family, but he and Vanessa, 38, own a Caribbean island where they can retreat for some privacy, which the actor says is crucial to keep him sane.

He told Red Bulletin magazine: "The island might sound extravagant but I need somewhere I can breathe easily or just sit around and chat without someone taking my picture."

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor used to be famed for his wild partying, and he credits meeting Vanessa 12 years ago with helping him turn his life around.

He said: "Anything I'd done before was kind of an illusion.

"My daughter, the birth of my daughter, gave me life.

"Now, my greatest hope is that I'll be fair to the people I love."
