P. Diddy likes to hang out with Russell Brand and watch the news.
The 'Coming Home' star said he doesn't understand why people view his friendship with the British comedy actor and rock musician Matt Helders - from the Northern English group Arctic Monkeys - as unusual, insisting they do very normal things together.
He said: "When we're together I'm not being Puff Daddy. He's not Matt from Arctic Monkeys and Russell's not being Russell Brand.
"We are being who we were born. Doing regular things. We just sit on the sofa and watch the news.
"Seriously, we are real boring. It's not as exciting as people think. There's no hard partying or chasing girls or doing crazy things when we are together.
Diddy, 41, starred alongside Russell in the film 'Get Him to The Greek' as a crazy music executive - a role which won him critical acclaim - which he said is a great feeling.
He added: "It's been a big year for me with the movie and my 'Last Train To Paris' album and getting great reviews for both. With movies, people didn't take me seriously until that role, and that's why I gave it my all."

Katie Price and Alex Reid are reportedly only communicating by text message.
The former couple - who confirmed earlier this month that their 11-month marriage is over - are living in separate areas of their marital home in Surrey, South East England, with the blonde beauty particularly worried about the impact the situation is having on her children, Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and Princess Tiaamii, three.
A source said: "Kate and Alex really haven't spoken for several weeks. They're like total strangers.
"They are living in separate sections of the house although they are forced to share communal areas like the kitchen.
"It is not the way Kate wants it to be. If they have to live together then she'd rather things were amicable but Alex is behaving like a child and Kate just cannot get through to him.
"It's a horrible situation, especially as Kate has the kids to think about. They're confused as they don't really know what is going on."
After Katie released a damning statement blasting Alex's obsession with fame, the 35-year-old cage fighter moved out of the house but returned shortly afterwards and is said to have told the 32-year-old former glamour model he won't find a new home until they agree a settlement.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "He wants to leave the house now. He is ready as he has finally realised things are over between him and Kate.
"But he has no money and doesn't want to go home to his parents. He is hoping to buy an apartment for himself but doesn't really have a job so has no money coming in. He and Kate could be living with each other for a good while longer."

Gwyneth Paltrow's children are "self-sufficient".
The 'Country Strong' actress - who has daughter Apple, six and four-year-old son Moses with Coldplay frontman husband Chris Martin - hates leaving her kids when she is making a film but admitted they are both independent and can cope with her absences.
She said: "To be honest, I think my son is a bit young for me to be away. I really feel like during the first five years of a child's life it's really important to be there as much as you can.
"Now my children are self-sufficient. They really have an inner life and they know what they want and they know who they are. I think that it's OK to work.
"I just feel lucky that I don't have to do every day. When I'm gone, I'm really gone. When I'm home, I'm really home. That's the way it works in our house."
Gwyneth, 38, also revealed she is still devastated over the death of her father Bruce Paltrow from cancer in 2002 and finds it difficult to come to terms with the fact that her children will never know their grandfather.
She said in an interview with the Huffington Post: "It was the most pivotal moment of my life. And it was terrible. When people ask me, 'How do you do a scene like that where you cry all day?' it's like, 'I have so much pain over the loss of that man.' Like I could cry for 100 years.
"It's really hard for me knowing that my kids will never know him. It's really hard for me to realise that if he were to come back to life, he wouldn't know where I lived, he wouldn't know my phone number, he wouldn't know my kids, he wouldn't know my husband. He wouldn't know my life. It's still such a hard thing to get my head around, but it's my reality."
