Cheryl Cole is set to return to 'X Factor' this week.
The Girls Aloud beauty - who is recovering at home following her hospitalisation from Malaria - has reportedly told show bosses she wants to return to filming of the reality show on Friday (30.07.10), where she will be interviewed in her home by 'Xtra Factor' presenter Konnie Huq.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cheryl loves the show and is desperate to get back to work. She's under doctors' orders to that it easy. But it's a big step that she's back on board."
The 27-year-old beauty was forced to take a break from the auditions and the bootcamp stages of the show after falling ill with the tropical disease during a holiday in Tanzania with her pal Derek Hough.
Despite spending a week in intensive care, Cheryl is set to make a return to the elimination stage at the Judges Houses next month.
A friend said: "She has put all her energy into getting better and it's paid off. Simon has told her he can't wait to have her back."
Meanwhile, police were called to the hotel where the 'X Factor' hopefuls are staying after their celebrations at getting through to the bootcamp stage of the show were apparently taken too far.
Bosses on the show have had to pay out for damaged property after contestants destroyed the Premiere Inn hotel in Wembley, North West London.
An 'X Factor' spokesperson told The Sun newspaper: "We have spoken to the individuals concerned, who have apologised for their behaviour."
It has also been reported the groups have changed, with the over-25s category being replaced by the over-28s instead.
Apparently, guest judge Nicole Scherzinger - who was one of the stars who replaced Dannii Minogue on the panel during her maternity leave - suggested the change to Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh because the quality of older singers was so high.

'Doctor Who' monsters 'invaded' the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday night (24.07.10).
Daleks, Cybermen, Judoon, Silurians, Weeping Angels and the Vampires of Venice all 'attacked' the historic concert venue as it played host to the 'Doctor Who Prom' - a performance of music from the last series of the BBC sci-fi show.
Fans young and old - many of whom were dressed in bow ties and tweed jackets like their hero The Doctor - gasped in astonishment as the alien invaders walked through the audience looking for their archenemy.
The concert featured music composed for the TV show by Murray Gold as well as several classical favourites, including Gustav Holst's 'The Planets - Mars' and Richard Wagner's 'The Ride of the Valkyries', and was performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales - who record the soundtrack for the series.
The London Philharmonic Choir also accompanied the orchestra on several songs.
Before the musicians played 'Battle in the Skies', from the 'Doctor Who' episode 'Victory of the Daleks', a camouflage painted Ironside Dalek rose from the floor in the middle of where the audience was stood and offered fans "a cup of tea".
However, a white Supreme Dalek then made its way onto the stage and ordered its counterpart to "descend or be exterminated" and then ordered conductor Ben Foster to play the "theme of the Daleks or be exterminated!"
The Doctor - played by Matt Smith - also made an appearance to huge cheers after the interval 'saving' everyone in the building from a bomb with the help of a young fan called Ellis.
The concert was hosted by Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill, who play companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams, and Smith also later took to the stage - which the TARDIS had landed on - out of character to introduce some pieces.
The evening was closed by a performance of the show's famous theme song - with Gold joining the orchestra on keyboard - and another 'invasion' by the Cybermen and reptile-humanoids the Silurians.

Cheryl Cole wants to raise money to stop the spread of malaria in Africa.
The pop star was hospitalised after contracting the potentially fatal tropical disease during a trip to Tanzania and while she has been recovering she has decided she wants to help sufferers in the continent.
A friend of the star said: "Cheryl wants to raise money for mosquito nets and better medicines across the worst-affected regions of Africa. After hitting such a terrible physical low, she has come to realise just how awful the disease is and how lucky she has been to receive the best medical care."
The 27-year-old singer - who had to pull out of the audition stages of pop star search show 'The X Factor' and cancelled her scheduled appearances at the V Festival in August so she can fully recover - was discharged from hospital earlier this month and is now convalescing at her home in Surrey, South East England.
Meanwhile, Cheryl's estranged husband Ashley Cole is selling the north London apartment he shared with the Girls Aloud star before they married.
The soccer player - who is currently in the process of getting divorced from Cheryl - is evicting his tenants from the property so he can put it on the market.
A source told The Mail on Sunday newspaper: "Ashley informed his tenants that they were being evicted three weeks ago, even though their tenancy is not over. He is hoping to sell up by the end of next month. He wants no more ties to Cheryl or the homes they once shared."
Ashley, 29 and Cheryl moved into the apartment in 2004 before they got engaged. After they married they relocated to a £6 million Surrey mansion in 2008.

The 34-year-old actress - who separated from her film director husband Sam Mendes in March - is allegedly romancing hunk Louis Dowler, also 34, after meeting him a few months ago through mutual friends.
A source told the News of the World newspaper: "Louis has been spending a lot of time with Kate recently and they were in New York together while he was shooting an advert. They've been on lots of dates and get on really well. It's early days for them but they enjoy each other's company. They've been desperate to keep the relationship under wraps so they've been a bit low-key so far."
Things are going so well between the pair, Kate - who lives in New York's Greenwich Village with her two children, six-year-old son Joe, whose father is Sam, and her daughter Mia, nine, from her relationship with ex-husband Jim Threapleton - is planning to go on vacation with Louis to Cornwall, South West England, where he was born.
The source added: "They are trying to plan their diaries to make sure they can spend as much time together as they can. They hope to visit Cornwall together in the summer for a holiday."
