Robert Pattinson has revealed that he would happily throw down his life for someone he loves.

The Twilight star, who is dating co-star Kristen Stewart both on and off screen, believes that if you truly love someone, you would be prepared to die for them.

"I think if you love anyone, you kind of feel like that," the 25-year-old explained to Danmark Berlingske TV. "If you're in love with anyone, I think the majority of people would say, 'If I have to die for this person, I will.'

"I mean, you don't really love someone if you're like, 'No. Just let them die.'"

Meanwhile, he admitted that he can relate to his character, vampire Edward Cullen's old-fashioned values and his insistence at getting married young.

"I guess I must be [old fashioned] because everyone is always telling me that Edward is kind of old-fashioned, but I always see him as fairly normal.

"I mean, he just knows what he wants. He's in love with someone and he just likes the idea of getting married to them. I guess I kind of agree with that."

Simon Cowell has warned Hollywood to expect an even tougher roasting by Ricky Gervais when he hosts the next Golden Globes.

Gervais caused outrage at last year’s ceremony by mocking the likes of Tom Cruise, Charlie Sheen and Johnny Depp but has been invited back to host the awards for the second time.

And friend and fellow straight talker Cowell said he’s expecting great things from The Office star.

He told The Sun, “I think he’ll be harder on the stars this time. And you know what? I think these people have to have a better sense of humour.

“Who cares if he makes a few insults? I’d love to be in the audience getting insulted.”

Victoria and David Beckham are reportedly planning to get married for a third time.

The couple – who first tied the knot in 1999 and then renewed their vows in 2008 – apparently want to do it all again at a star-studded bash at their UK home.

Their £1.5million wedding took place in Ireland, while their first renewal was held at their £18million mansion – an occasion that the pair marked with matching Roman numeral wrist tattoos. ??

But according to Now magazine, having recently added daughter Harper to their brood, the former Spice Girl feels that it’s the ideal chance to celebrate their union once more.

“She feels like they’re complete as a family so it’s the perfect time to look at renewing her vows with David,” said a source.

A dress belonging to Amy Winehouse has sold at auction for $67,500.

The red and white chiffon dress designed by Thai designer Disaya that the late singer wore on the cover of her Back To Black album was snapped up by Fundacion Museo de la Moda in Chile, according to CBS.

Going under the hammer at Kerry Taylor Auctions in London alongside dresses worn by Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn, the garment went for four times its asking price, with all the proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Dad Mitch, who set up the charity to help vulnerable young people, was at the auction and said he was thrilled with the result.

"We are just over the moon and this is a wonderful start to the foundation," he said.
