George Michael is 'improving steadily' after being struck down with pneumonia, according to his doctors.

Concerns were growing for the 48-year-old singer after he was admitted to intensive care in a Vienna hospital, but those in charge say he was admitted to the department because of the 'severity and extension' of the illness, although he is now on the mend.

In a statement to The Sun, Professors Gottfried Locker and Christoph Zielinski said, "The latest development in Mr Michael's case, which has evolved from a severe pneumococcal infection, necessitated intensive care due to its severity and extension.

"We are happy to announce that Mr Michael is improving steadily with an impressive regression of pneumonic symptoms and follows a steady rate of improvement as hoped.

"There are no other health issues with regards to the patient other than the underlying pneumonic disorder, and no further measures had to be taken."

They continued, "Mr Michael is receiving precisely the same treatment as any ordinary patient in Austria would receive at the hospital for this disease."

Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he's terrified of cockroaches.

The 22-year-old may have battled goblins and demons as boy wizard Harry Potter, but when it comes to real life, he’s scared stiff of creepy crawlies.

"Cockroaches really freak me out," he told Total Film. "We don't seem to have nearly as many of them in England as we do [in America]!"??

And his fear is so strong that he refuses to travel to some of the world's most insect-ridden countries.

"All those places are off my list! I do like Australia though - but lying in the thick of it is just the world's largest collection of poisonous things!"??

The actor, who is about to complete a stint in Broadway's How to Succeed In Business Without Even Trying, also confessed to having a fear of small audiences.

"On a Wednesday matinee I'm thinking 'Oh God I hope there's more than 500 people out there!' About 800 people is a good audience, anything less and you can hear your voice bouncing back at you. But on those days you learn so much about yourself and your stamina and your mental will so it's been great for me."

The media attention surrounding the world’s most famous bridesmaid is reportedly starting to get the better of Pippa Middleton.

The 28-year-old became a household name when she walked up the aisle behind big sister Kate at her wedding to Prince William in April, but according to Now magazine, the constant scrutiny is becoming too much.

And her recent split with Alex Loudon is said to have been caused by the fact that he couldn’t cope with the fame.

“Pippa says she doesn't know what's expected of her and she feels like her life is in limbo,” said a source. ??

“She confided in Kate she feels controlled and is having an identity crisis.

“She feels Kate has all the privileges that come with royal life, but she gets all the limitations and responsibilities.”

Clarence House declined to comment.

David Beckham has revealed that he's having a lovely time buying hair ribbons for his baby daughter Harper Seven.

The footballer welcomed his first daughter with his fashion designer wife Victoria in July. He said that his fourth-born has already got a wardrobe packed full of designer gear.

"She has so many little dresses!" he told Us Weekly, adding that with three sons, he's enjoying buying cute things for his little girl. "I didn't realise how excited I would get over buying hair bows," he laughed.

And big brothers Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, nine, and Cruz, six, are also enjoying helping out with the little one.

"They feed her and change diapers," David said.
