Keira Knightley

(BANG) -

Keira Knightley felt "threatened" by a man arrested on suspicion of stalking her.

The British actress - who is currently starring in the West End show 'The Misanthrope' at London's Comedy Theatre - called police last Thursday (04.02.10) after she was constantly bothered by 41-year-old Mariek Daniluk, who would regularly turn up at the theatre to see her.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Keira felt threatened by this guy who turned up a number of time and tried to speak to her. He did not make any specific threats to her but she was concerned enough to call the police."

Police have confirmed the man was arrested outside the theatre over harassment allegations.

A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said: "A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment on Thursday (04.02.10). The arrest follows concern expressed by a woman."

Polish national Daniluk - who lives in Palmers Green, North London - was held in prison overnight and questioned by officers yesterday (05.02.10).

He was charged with harassment and is due to appear in the City of Westminster Magistrates Court today (06.02.10).

This is not the first time Keira has been panicked by stalkers.

Two years ago, the 24-year-old beauty moved to America after developing five stalkers.

At the time she said: "I'm frightened out of my wits every time I see one of them."

Ricky Gervais

(BANG) -

Ricky Gervais always plays "little fat blokes" so he doesn't have to diet.

The British comic - who rose to fame after starring as overweight manager David Brent in TV sitcom 'The Office' - always caters his scripts to allow him to play chubby characters because "handsome and cool" men aren't entertaining.

When asked if he would lose weight for a role, he answered: "No, because I write my own stuff, so I always write parts for little fat blokes. And even if I got thin, I'd still write roles for little fat blokes and wear padding!

"As a comedian, you've got to be aware of your inadequacies. It's not funny to be handsome and cool."

The 48-year-old star has also denied losing weight, and has put his apparently slim-line appearance at the recent Golden Globe Awards down to wearing a good suit.

He added: "I've only lost about five pounds. I think it was because the suit I was wearing looked good. I've never dieted. I've started exercising every day so I can eat too much cheese and drink too much wine. I couldn't lose three stone unless I stopped eating!"

Mackenzie Crook

(BANG) -

Mackenzie Crook will not star in the fourth 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film.

The British actor, who played the role of Ragetti in the first three instalments of the Disney franchise, has not been asked to return for the upcoming sequel.

He said: "They haven't asked me. But actually I don't mind at all.

"I'm a fan of the first one especially and I think the trilogy we've made is great. I'd almost like them to leave it there.

"If people want more then, sure, give them more if you can keep the standard. Quite possibly they do and quite possibly they can, so that's great. But my pirating days are over."

The 38-year-old star also admitted filming in the Caribbean was not as blissful as many would imagine.

He said: "There were times when it was quite tough. There's a reason why holidays are two weeks long, when you're in the Bahamas in a resort for months on end, you start going crazy, become an alcoholic.

"I went fishing a bit. But after a while this depression would start creeping in. You're in this tropical paradise but you can't be bothered to go out and do anything at all."

Mackenzie is the latest in a string of actors to reveal they are not taking part in the next 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie.

Neither Orlando Bloom, who played William Turner, and Keira Knightley, who portrayed Elizabeth Swann, are returning to the high shores.

However, Johnny Depp - who plays Captain Jack Sparrow - will be starring in the fourth film, entitled 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'.

Liam Gallagher

(BANG) -

Liam Gallagher's new band won't be called Oasis because it's a "s**t name".

The rocker has been busy working on a new album with his fellow former Oasis bandmates - Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - but won't be reprising the name because he hates it.

He said: "It's not Oasis. That was a s**t name anyway. I'm glad to see the back of it. There's one that we're digging at the moment, but we're going to get on with the music and see how it goes. If we haven't got a better one by then, we'll go with the one we're into."

Liam - whose brother Noel Gallagher quit Oasis last August after a huge bust-up with his rock 'n' roll sibling - also revealed he plans to return to the stage in 2010.

The 'Songbird' singer added: "We'll be on stage this year, without a doubt. We're halfway through the record - the demos, that is.

"We're in the studio this April to see if this producer works out. If he does, we'll crack on with the album through June and July."

Liam's live announcement comes just days after it was revealed Noel will be playing two solo shows as part of this year's Teenage Cancer Trust charity concerts in March.

They will be his first performances since quitting Oasis.
