Singer Katy Perry is happy that her parents have finally accepted her marriage to Russell Brand.
The 26-year-old is glad her pastor dad Keith and his wife Mary Hudson have 'let go of the leash' and have stopped worrying about her union with the British funnyman - who has previously battled sex and drug addictions.
According to British newspaper The Sun, the Last Friday Night hitmaker said: "It's good my family and my parents have finally let go of the leash."
In the past, Perry's mother expressed her concern over Brand's antics, urging him to find God.
Simon Cowell and bosses on the X Factor UK are planning to have the longest-ever episodes with the live shows set to be three hours long.
Last year's live shows were the longest yet at two-and-a-half hours but it's thought this year's shows will be even longer.
A source said to UK newspaper Daily Mirror: "The feeling is that the audience can't get enough of the show and extending the programmes again seems the natural next step.
"The idea is simple. More X Factor will mean more viewers, more advertising space, more telephone votes and, ultimately, more revenue."
It's thought there may be even more acts in the live shows.
The girlfriend of Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband had claimed that his refusal to see her might have driven her back to the bottle.
The tragic star and Blake Fielder-Civil ended their two-year marriage in 2009 but continued to stay in touch while he served time for burglary and possession of an imitation firearm. And according to Blake’s current partner and mother of his child, Sarah Aspin, his refusal to let the singer visit him in jail ‘broke her heart’.
She told the Daily Star, “Blake had never said no to her before. It’s an awful thought, but I fear that may have been the moment she realised he and her would never be.
“I’d hate to think that somehow caused her to fall but it is possible.
“All he ever wanted her to be was happy and well. But he’d realised she probably wouldn’t achieve that happiness with him as a partner. They were two addicts. There was a lot of co-dependency and little way out. I’m not so convinced that Amy thought the same way.”
Amy was found dead in her North London home last month, but the results of toxicology tests are still being awaited to try and establish a cause of death.
Cheryl Cole's US career may have been given a major boost after she was spotted having a meeting with Usher.
The 28-year-old Girls Aloud singer dreams of cracking America stalled when she was dropped from the X Factor. But she was apparently absorbed in conversation with the R'n'B superstar.
A source told the Daily Star, "Cheryl was sat deep in conversation with a man at the bar in her usual hotel, the Sunset Marquis in Hollywood. We couldn't believe it when he turned around and it was Usher.
"The pair was locked in chats for a long while, making notes and talking about music. Both looked really comfortable in each other's company but appeared to be working hard on a secret project.
"Usher was surrounded by his entourage while perched at the terrace bar but he soon ditched his crew to go and sit in private with Cheryl. He was flirting with her but this is Usher – he's known for being a smooth ladies' man."
And according to the onlooker, Cheryl didn't make any attempts to hide her excitement at meeting the man responsible for Justin Bieber's meteoric rise to fame.
"Cheryl took a photo of the pair of them on her phone," the witness added.
"She then texted the photo to her ex-husband Ashley, who's apparently a big Usher fan."
Cheryl's US manager, Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am, has already claimed that she will be working with the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry, Usher and the Peas over the next few months.
A website has been criticised for giving an iPod to the woman who correctly guessed the date of Amy Winehouse's death.
The website was set up in 2007, and people then started to guess when the singer would pass away after she started struggling with her addictions to drink and drugs.
When the singer did pass away on July 23rd, a message was posted on the site confirming they had a winner.
According to E!, the message said: "Since we launched this site, we've had hundreds of thousands of hits, 237 hate mails telling us we're the devil in disguise, and 96,026 people who left their predictions.
"Out of all those entries, only four were correct. The first person to do so did it on December 21st 2007 and we've called her the winner of the iPod Touch. We will be contacting her via email."
