Victoria Beckham

(BANG) -

Victoria Beckham is desperate to have a baby girl.

The singer-turned-fashion designer - who has three sons with her soccer star husband David Beckham - hopes to fall pregnant with her first daughter later this year after the soccer World Cup in South Africa.

The 35-year-old star is thought to have become increasingly broody since her younger sister Louise has announced she is expecting her fourth child.

A source close to the family told The Sun newspaper: "Louise has just told everyone she is expecting and Vic has immediately become broody. She and David have always wanted a girl. He'd love more kids so it's great news."

Victoria's boys - Brooklyn, ten, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz - are already close in age to Louise's own children and Victoria is believed to be keen to keep this pattern up.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed the couple have donated almost £1 million over the past five years to help disadvantaged children.

Since 2005, the Victoria and David Beckham Children's Charity - which is run by Victoria's mother Jackie - has handed over £913,269 to disabled youngsters.

However, donations to the cause fell dramatically from £102,209 in 2008 to £11,917 last year.

Because of the cash shortage, the charity had to cut back spending from £335,502 to £32,474.

In the 12 months before April 2009, the couple still donated to 12 charities through their fund.

These included the Aids Mobility Centre - who received a £2,487 donation to help with their work providing specialist wheelchairs.

Simon Cowell

(BANG) -

Simon Cowell is "getting serious" with make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy.

The 50-year-old music mogul was spotted on a date at exclusive London restaurant Mr Chow with the 36-year-old beauty, and the pair are believed to be ready to go public with the romance.

A source said: "Simon is ready to let everyone know. Things between them are moving along very nicely indeed.

"Their relationship has been conducted under a cloak of secrecy but the situation has now changed."

A diner at the eatery added: "It was clear there was real chemistry between them. He seemed smitten and she likewise."

Mezhgan, who was born in Afghanistan before moving to the US in the early 80s, joins a long list of beauties who have dated Simon, including model Terri Seymour and 'So Macho' singer Sinitta.

The source added: "Simon is clearly very enamoured with Mezhgan - and it's little wonder why. She is absolutely stunning, not to mention incredibly intelligent and cultured."

La Roux singer Elly Jackson

(BANG) -

La Roux singer Elly Jackson has a crush on Beyonce Knowles.

The pop star - who is rumoured to be a lesbian or bisexual - thinks the 'Halo' singer is stunningly attractive, but insists she finds both men and women sexy.

She said: "I can appreciate other women. Beyonce is beautiful. But I find men or women sexy. The Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal is hot and I've always fancied James Dean - but weirdly, I want to look like the people I fancy."

Elly, 21, is aware of the speculation surrounding her sexuality but refuses to speak about her private life just so people can label her.

The singer - who is joined in La Roux by Ben Langmaid - added: "I don't have a sexuality. I don't feel like I'm female or male. I don't belong to the gay or straight society, if there is such a thing. I feel like I'm capable of falling in love with other people. I'm not saying I'm bisexual, I'm just sexual!"

Elly has always been a tomboy and preferred to wear boys' clothes than girls' outfits when she was growing up.

The star told Fabulous magazine: "I felt very out of sorts at school. I was a tomboy and didn't dress like a girl. I wanted to hang out with the boys and got picked on because I was different. It was constant abuse. I tried to be more girlie but I ended up losing myself."

Leona Lewis

(BANG) -

Leona Lewis says people who wear fur make her "sick".

The vegetarian singer - who is a public supporter of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) - thinks it is disgusting the way the fashion and music worlds still embrace clothing made from animal pelts and the apparent resurgence in the popularity of fur.

Leona - who doesn't wear suede, leather or other animal products - said: "I think animals are treated very poorly. When I see people wearing fur it makes me so sick. Especially when I see young singers doing it - that sickens me. When I rocked up to my first photo shoot they had feathers and fur there and everything In despise. I had to make it so clear that I just do not go there."

Leona, 24, is also angry at the way young women are made to feel as though they should constantly be dieting and should look a certain way.

The pop beauty - who shot to fame after winning Simon Cowell's UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' in 2006 - added to Live magazine: "There is definitely pressure to be a stick insect. Generally, in life, there is. All the magazines have tiny stick insects on their covers. But no one has ever said that to me. Everyone says I've lost weight but I don't see it. It's just eating healthily."

James McAvoy

(BANG) -

James McAvoy is not a leading man.

The 'Last Station' star - whose wife Anne-Marie Duff is currently pregnant with their first child - is aware he doesn't look like a typical action hero but hopes his talents can help him win bigger Hollywood roles.

He said: "The image I see in the bathroom mirror is not that of a leading man. It's a pale Scottish guy who needs to go to the gym.

"But hopefully there is a bit more to it than that. I hope that I bring a little bit of the internal life of the hero alive, which makes up for the fact he's a pale weedy little git."

While he expects to be mocked for his looks, 30-year-old James - who first rose to fame in British TV show 'Shameless' - believes he has it easy as casting directors are much tougher with their scrutiny of actresses.

He told Britain's Elle magazine: "I'd hate to be a woman in this business. They're not allowed to be imperfect. If you see an actress weighing over 90lbs being cast for anything, it's considered totally edgy and 'out there' experimental cinema, which is ridiculous."

Despite enjoying success in movies such as 'Atonement' and 'Wanted', the actor insists he isn't as rich as people may think.

He said: "I don't earn millions and millions of dollars. I'm self employed and I might stop working tomorrow for all I know. I've got to be frugal and be a tight Scotsman."
